Hi, I'm Bunny and this is my Wiki page!

The school desks stood in rows, separate from each other.
They were apart...far enough so the students couldn't talk to each other during class time.
Each student had to sit silently while the teacher would speak...most of the day.
If a student even whispered something to a classmate during class...he/she was punished usually by standing in one of the corners of the classroom.
Looks familiar to some of us?

Today, the learning system changed much.
Sometimes the teachers still have to stand in front of the class and explain new material and other concepts.
However, now there is more to learning than before.

In today's society we know that the students need to be engaged in whatever happens in class.
The ideas YOU are about to read are either mine or things I saw in classrooms during my clinical observations.

Enjoy reading about my ideas.

Teachers!

"There are currently more than 180 different language groups represented by the students in America's schools. Students who speak English as a second language (ESL) constitute a significant percentage of the nation's school population: schools currently provide programs for nearly 3 million ESL students, and it is estimated that this population is growing two and half times faster than that of native English-speaking students."

Teachers!

Sometimes mainstream teachers do not realize that there are several key differences in the methods used to assess students in the regular classroom and the ones used to assess ESL students. Many students have a fear of the language barrier that prevents them from communicating to the teacher what they actually know.
Assessment can also help you to determine a learner's potential talent or capacity for learning languages. Also, it can help you to determine a student's proficiency in a language. Using assessment can also help to identify the strengths and weaknesses a learner has. Teaches also need to use assessment to determine how well students are comprehending the material that has been covered or how much information they picked up from a specific course.
